Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson: Cristiano Ronaldo better than original Ronaldo

Sir Alex Ferguson believes his former player Cristiano Ronaldo is a more complete player than his namesake, the Brazilian Ronaldo.

The Manchester United manager jokingly referred to the orginal Ronaldo as the 'old fat one' and claims that the Portuguese star is a superior player.

"Compare Cristiano Ronaldo with the old fat one? Ronaldo's best form was ten years ago. Cristiano Ronaldo is a superior player.

"He doesn't let up in a single game, he is very physically strong, fast, good head and with both feet. They are two different players, but Cristiano Ronaldo is more complete."

Ferguson also had time to say a few words about Rafael, expressing his confidence in the young Brazilian.

"Rafael has learnt from his experience in the first game and will mark him again. We shouldn't fear only Cristiano Ronaldo, lest we forget the other Real Madrid players and the quality of our own team.

"I am convinced that both teams will score goals tomorrow, it would be great to win by 5-4. We think that we can score more goals than Real Madrid."
