Campeonato Mineiro: Atlético notch third straight win

Sambafoot takes a look at last night's Campeonato Mineiro action...
Atlético Mineiro continued their fine form with a third straight win, a 3-1 victory over strugglers Guarani.
Diego Tardelli converted two penalties either side of a Richarlyson strike while a solitary Eric goal in the dying stages proved only to be a consolation for the away side.
Atlético now find themselves in second place, one point behind rivals Cruzeiro while Guarani sink to the bottom of the table with just two points from four games.
Villa Nova also secured a 3-1 win over Boa Esporte thanks to goals from Heitor, Max Carrasco and Eraldo.
Tássio scored Boa's only goal and they drop to eighth while Villa Nova move up to third after their second win in a row.
The final game saw Tupi snatch a last gasp 1-1 draw against América Mineiro as Alonso scored the equalising goal in the 89th minute after Lula looked to have given the away side the win.
Tupi now move up to fifth place and their opponents also climb the table to sixth.
