Real Madrid 2-1 Barcelona: Ramos late show grabs win for Mourinho’s men

A late Sergio Ramos winner secured all three points for Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid as they notched a 2-1 win over Barcelona in the latest El Clasico.
Kaká started the game in a weakened Real side with one eye on the midweek Champions League clash against Manchester United.
French international Karim Benzema opened the scoring with a tap-in from just three yards out after poor defending as Gerard Pique and Javier Mascherano failed to clear a cross from youngster Alvaro Monata.
However, it wasn’t long before Barcelona struck back with Lionel Messi leveling proceedings with a well-taken finish inside the penalty area for his 50th goal of the season.
Real called in the reinforcements after the break as Cristiano Ronaldo emerged from the bench to force a stunning save from Victor Valdes from a free-kick.
The game looked to be heading for a draw until Sergio Ramos intervened in the dying stages with a header from a Luka Modric corner to secure the win.
