Corinthians records lowest attendance ever in top level football

Corinthians have recorded the lowest attendance ever taken at a top-level football match as they had just four fans at the Pacembeu for the Copa Libertadores clash against Millionarios.
This is an all time lowest attendance, a record that excludes empty stadiums, after Corinthians fans were banned for two games after the tragedy involving a 14-year-old boy.
Four angry Corinthians fans appealed to Conmebol ahead of the match claiming that they could prove their innocence of the crime and courts ruled in their favour, allowing them to attend the match.
This comes after Conmebol had handed the club a two-match ban for their involvement in the tragic death of Bolivian teenager Kevin Douglas Beitran Espada.
Several hundred fans congregated outside the stadium to voice their opposition to the ban as Corinthians walked away 2-0 winners against a poor Milionarios side.
