Cruzeiro reject €7 million Spartak bid for Everton Ribeiro
He may have only joined Cruzeiro in January, but the Minas Gerais club have already been forced to turn down two offers from Russian giants Spartak Moscow for midfielder Everton Ribeiro.
Everton Ribeiro, 23, joined Cruzeiro from Coritiba for a fee of around £1.3 million, but has already attracted the interest of the European side in just four matches at the club.
It is reported by Brazilian media giant Globo Esporte that Spartak have made two approaches for the attacking midfielder, worth around €5 million and €7 million respectively. Both offers were rejected by the Cruzeiro board.
The Belo Horizonte side have been very active in the transfer market this year, including allowing several players to leave the club in order to balance the finances.
It has also been revealed that several other bids for the club’s players have been rejected.
Everton Ribeiro and his Cruzeiro side will be back in action this Saturday when they take on Tombense in the Campeonato Mineiro.
