Barcelona 1-3 Real Madrid: Alves unable to prevent Barca collapse

Dani Alves featured as Barcelona suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of rivals Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey which sees los Blancos go through to the final after a 3-1 win at Camp Nou.
Tito Vilanova's absence saw Barcelona struggle to cope with Real's pace on the counterattack as Cristiano Ronaldo bagged a brace and Raphael Varane grabbed the third.
Ronaldo set the tone for the away side as he won a penalty in the opening 15 minutes, picking himself up and converting the spot kick for Real's first of the evening.
The Portuguese star then followed it up with a second half strike before Varane put the game to bed with a third after the hour mark.
Jordi Alba scored a consolation goal in the dying stages of the game but it was too little, too late for Barcelona as they crash out of the competition.
Real will now wait to see who they will face in the final as Atletico Madrid and Sevilla are yet to play the second leg of their tie, with Atletico leading 2-1 on aggregrate.
