Corinthians supporters are still being held by Bolivian authorities in Oruro despite the confession of a 17-year-old fan admitting to causing the death of a 14-year-old boy.

An unnamed youngster has turned himself in to the police, confessing his actions which allegedly led to the death of Kevin Douglas Beltrán Espada.

But a government official, Abigail Saba, has confirmed that presecutions against the Corinthians supporters held in Oruro will go ahead as planned despite recent events.

Saba told radio station Erbol that the emergence of the 17-year-old will not cause any ‘interference whatsoever, nor will it change in any way, the judge’s decision’.

“The prosecution will continue with the investigations. It does not change anything that there is research that is being done in another country, taking into account the fact that it happened in Oruro.”

Saba continued his interview by claiming that the individual ‘must come to Bolivia’ in order for his confession to be accepted by local authorities.
