Cruzeiro’s Anselmo Ramon has waved away plaudits for his impressive start to the Campeonato Mineiro campaign.

The Brazilian seems to have formed an understanding with new signing Dagoberto as Cruzeiro mount a challenge on the title.

But Anselmo himself is not getting carried away by his recent good form, claiming that his place in the team is still in doubt.

“You must always train well, show enough to get into the games, give the maximum and contribute. As for the number of attackers, Marcelo Oliveira will decide what will be the best, to be able to win and play a good game.”

However, it is thought that Cruzeiro will rotate their strikers in order to nurse them back into full fitness as Dagoberto looks to settle into his new surroundings.

The centre-forward has one goal to his name from the first three games of the campaign, as he netted a close range effort against América TO as well as an impressive performance against fierce rivals Atlético Mineiro.
