Sambafoot takes a look at last night’s Campeonato Mineiro action…

Tupi climb up to fourth place after a 2-1 win over Boa Esporte in the day’s early kickoff courtesy of a Ygor brace either side of a solitary goal for the hosts from Henrique.

Elsewhere, América Mineiro finally lifted themselves out of the relegation zone with a 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Caldense thanks to an ealry Wanderson strike.

Meanwhile, Guarani drop into the basement battle after a 1-0 defeat to Villa Nova who climb up to fifth place thanks to Tchô’s fifth minute goal.

Brasileirão outfits Atlético Mineiro and Cruzeiro are yet to play this round and will be facing their opponents next weekend.
