Rafael: Ryan Giggs helps Manchester United's young players
Manchester United defender Rafael da Silva has praised team-mate Ryan Giggs and revealed the Welshman gives the younger players advice.
The duo were both on the scoresheet in United’s 2-0 win away to QPR on Saturday, in which Giggs made his 999th professional appearance for club and country.
Rafael, who scored a stunning volley from 25-yards out, says that as well as being one of the top players at the club, the 39-year-old is a big help to the young members of the team.
The Brazilian told reporters: "He is an unbelievable player. You can only say good words about him: He plays, he scores, he assists.
"He is the same in training, he just loves to play the game. He is one of the top players that I have played with.
"He gives us experience, confidence, and when you are feeling bad he comes and helps you, especially young players.
"Sometimes a young player finds it tough going and he helps them. He shows them how to do it. He knows it from playing 22 years. He pulls the player aside. He spoke to me a lot when I was young."
