Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Lucas Moura believes he will improve over time at the Parc de Princes and that his side have got what it takes to become champions.

The Brazil international created PSG’s first goal during their 2-0 win over Ligue 1 title rivals Marseille last night

Lucas’ effort deflected off Nicolas N’Koulou and wrong-footed OM goalkeeper Steve Mandanda in the 11th-minute before Zlatan Ibrahimović added a second in added time.

The 20-year-old said: “The most important thing is to win and that the supporters shouted my name. I am happy to have won the three points.”

Lucas is happy with his development at the club since joining in January for €35 million for São Paulo, and believes he will improve over time.

He added: “I adapt to the team every day. Over time, I will improve. I am comfortable, free and happy. We have everything to become champions.”

Former Real Madrid and Manchester United star David Beckham made his debut for the French club during the win, and Lucas says the veteran midfielder will really help the team.

“Beckham did not need time to adapt as he is experienced and has played for big clubs. The group has warmly welcomed him and he will help us a lot. It is an honour to play in the same side,” he concluded.
