Real Madrid coach José Mourinho is undecided on whether to start with Kaká or Angel Di Maria in Tuesday’s classico against Barcelona at Camp Nou in the second leg of their King’s Cup tie.

With the game poised at 1-1 Mourinho has a big decision to make over his team selection as a victory is vital for Real Madrid seeing as they are already out of the La Liga title race.

Brazilian international Kaká has fought his way back into Mourinho’s thinking in the past few weeks with impressive performances against Rayo Vallecano and at the weekend in the 2-1 win against Deportivo La Coruna, in which he scored.

The former AC Milan star’s form has not gone unnoticed, with Mourinho’s assistant Aitor Karanka saying the Brazilian is having a “good time physically and technically and has become a good alternative”.

Kaká himself is pleased with his upturn in form and admitted that he is happy to be playing an important part in a crucial part of the season.

He told AS: “I am happy for the goal and for helping the team. I’m much better. The coach needs me and I need to be well for the crucial part of the season.”
