Lucas Moura: Beckham debut and Ronaldo presence give extra motivation
Paris Saint-Germain youngster Lucas Moura believes that the presence of both David Beckham and Ronaldo at the Parc des Princes on Sunday will add to his motivation ahead of his first "classique" fixture with Marseille.
Lucas, 20, joined PSG at the start of January and was joined at the club on the final day of the transfer window by English hero Beckham, who is set to make his debut on Sunday evening.
Besides hailing his new teammate, Lucas was also happy that 1994 and 2002 World Cup winner Ronaldo would be at the stadium for the encounter, having grown up watching O Fenomeno in action.
“This tribute to Ronaldo is very cool,” Lucas told reporters. “He is a footballing idol and one of the best of all time. I'm a fan of his and it will be extra motivation to see him taking the kick-off.
“Beckham's debut is also a great positive for us. He is an icon who's known worldwide and collects titles. His quality will help us greatly. It will be a great experience for me.”
The match in France will take place at 20.00 GMT and be broadcast across the world as interest in the arrival of Beckham grows.
