Sambafoot takes a look at last night’s Campeonato Mineiro action…

América Mineiro left the pitch to resounding jeers as they were held to a goalless draw against Boa Esporte despite missing a host of chances.

The hosts now only have one point from a possible six and lie in ninth place while Boa are enjoying a good start to the campaign in second with four points.

Tupi and Caldense battled to a 0-0 draw at the Muncipal Juiz de Fora and the two sides are now fifth and seventh respectively.

Over at Bernardo Queiroz, Villa Nova held Nacional to yet another goalless draw. Villa Nova move up to sixth place and Nacional drop down to tenth.

Tonight’s fixtures will see Atlético Mineiro take on Araxá and Cruzeiro face Guarani, with América TO battling it out with Tombense in the remaining game.
