Leandro Damião’s agent has claimed that the striker would welcome a move to Italy in the summer.

This comes after reports in the Italian press that Napoli are considering a move for the striker as a replacement for Edinson Cavani who is likely to leave the club in the summer.

Vinicius Prates, Damião’s agent, says the Tottenham target is prepared to leave Internacional in the summer and Italy is a possible destination.

“The Italian championship is a goal for Leandro but he is focusing on having success in Brazil, but anything can happen in June,” Prates told TuttoNapoli.

“However, there is not any agreement with European teams,” he explained in an interview with the agent site Tuttonapoli.net.

“Internacional refused an offer of 20million euros for Leandro from Tottenham and few European clubs have the capacity to hire him right now.

“But certainly, the Napoli attack is one of the strongest in Europe. It would be a pleasure for him to wear the shirt once worn by Careca.”
