FIFA have handed sanctions to two agents over their involvement in the Heurelho Gomes’ transfer from PSV Eindhoven to Tottenham.

The body’s disciplinary panel fined English agent Leon Angel and Brazilian agent Renato De Moura Ricardo a total of $7,650 plus the cost of proceedings.

The sanctions were handed out after it was revealed that they had breached the rules concerning proper contracts and paperwork.

Angel, who counts England boss Roy Hodgson amongst his clients, is said to be planning an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

FIFA have moved to hand out the punishments after being alerted by the Football Association.

Heurelho Gomes is currently on loan at Bundesliga outfit 1899 Hoffenheim from Tottenham after failing to secure a permanent transfer in January.
