PSG’s Lucas Moura has admitted he is ‘living the dream’ at the French giants as they prepare to face Valencia in the midweek Champions League fixtures.

Lucas signed for PSG in a €45m deal from São Paulo in January and is set to be making his Champions League debut on Tuesday.

“I’m very happy because I am living my dream,” the player said.

The Brazilian was unsure of what to expect, but determined to prove himself on the highest stage.

“It was a very emotional moment for me when I stepped out at the Parc des Princes for the first time. I’ll never forget that day.”

Lucas was surprised when he heard the fans chant his name during the games, and the fact that most of the people around the town knew who he was. The player stated:

“I really didn’t expect all the fans to chant my name or for supporters to recognise me in the street. Like I said, it’s like a dream is coming true for me, playing in this wonderful stadium.”

“I’ve already struck up a good rapport with the fans and their support helps me give everything on the pitch. I want to enjoy myself and to show the fans that PSG were right to buy me.”
