Former Brazil international Taffarel: Barcelona will win everything with Neymar
Former Brazil international Cláudio Taffarel believes fellow native Neymar is the ideal candidate to continue Barcelona's success in the future.
The 21-year-old Santos star is linked with a number of top European clubs, including the Catalan giants, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
Taffarel, who made more than 100 appearances for the Seleção, believes signing the forward should be regarded as a major coup for the Camp Nou outfit.
The 46-year-old told Spanish daily Sport: "If [Lionel] Messi, who is a great player - the best ever - wins everything already, then Barcelona will be champions of everything if Neymar plays as well for them as he does for Brazil.
"He could do very well either now, or after the World Cup, with Barcelona. He has impressive quality, and is very fast."
Neymar has a contract with Santos until June 2014 and has always insisted he will see out his deal with the club before moving to Europe.
The Peixe, for their part, are still hopeful of retaining his services past the scheduled expiration of his current contract with the club and hope to begin talks with the player soon.
