Barcelona defender Adriano has insisted the La Liga title race is not over so his side cannot relax, despite having a twelve-point lead at the top of the table.

The Spanish giants hammered Getafe 6-1 earlier today to extend the gap over second-placed Atlético Madrid, who face Rayo Vallecano this evening.

Adriano warned that if his side are to become complacent then their title rivals could capitalise and come from behind to secure the Liga crown.

The 28-year-old told reporters: “We cannot relax because Real Madrid will not give up and Atlético are doing very well.

“If we don"t relax, we"ll be champions of La Liga."

The Brazil international went on to discuss how the players miss coach Tito Vilanova and his joy at a summer fixture against Bayern Munich, where former boss Guardiola is due to takeover.

He added: “We miss him [Tito] day to day.

“It will be very special to go face to face with Pep."
