São Paulo midfielder Ganso says that he felt good in the 25 minutes he played in Wednesday night’s goalless draw against Ponte Preta.

Ganso, 23, has struggled for form and fitness since his move to São Paulo from Santos last September and started the game on the bench against Ponte Preta but admitted after that he is now fully fit and hoping to find a staring spot in Ney Franco’s team.

“I’m 100%, so I entered and could find space,” he told Lancenet! after the game.

“Depending on the game, you find it very closed when teams enter the second half, as it was today, then it becomes more difficult.”

Ganso finds himself in a fight for the number 10 position at São Paulo with Jadson, but the former Santos star says he hopes to play alongside Jadson.

“Jadson is fine. I hope he can keep playing and that I can find another place. I have played this formation and normally central.

“But here the competition is very strong. Every player needs sequence of games and I’m no different.”
