Vasco da Gama were the only Brasileirão side to lose during this weekend’s round of Campeonato Carioca fixtures, with Flamengo, Fluminense and Botafogo all recording wins.

Vasco, who lost 4-2 to Flamengo on Thursday, were beaten 1-0 by former Série A side Bangu thanks to a 54th-minute goal from Hugo.

Elsewhere, the other three top-flight teams all remained unbeaten in the competition with wins over their lowly oppositions.

Fluminense put three past Quissamã, who are yet to win a game, with recently called-up Brazil international Jean scoring on the stroke of half-time.

Wagner grabbed a goal with 17 minutes remaining before last season’s Brasileirão top goalscorer Fred added a late penalty to claim all three points.

Veteran midfielder Clarence Seedorf scored a hat-trick as Botafogo ran out 3-1 winners over Macaé.

The 36-year-old cancelled out Jones’ early opener for Macaé with a goal in the ninth-minute, before adding two late penalties to his and Botafogo’s tally.

Leading scorer Hernane scored his fifth goal of the competition as Flamengo brushed past Nova Iguaçu with a 1-0 win.
