America Mineiro were stunned by Araxá in a 2-1 loss as Fabricio Carvalho and Thiago Marin overturned a Fabio Junior strike.
Carvalho opened the scoring for Araxá, sweeping past the keeper from the edge of the box before Junior levelled proceedings with a close range header just before the break.
Mirin grabbed the winner with a sensational volley from 20 yards to send Araxá to the top of the league.
Good were the other winners on the night, beating National MG 2-1 with goals from Henry and Caca whilst Caleb atruck for the away side.
Villa Nova and Tupi battled to a 1-1 draw as a Toledo penalty cancelled out a first half strike from Villa Mova's William Araujo.
Caldense were held to a 1-1 draw by MG Guarini as Lucas Rocha levelled the game after an early Luizinho strike for the hosts.
