Amauri’s agent and Parma have both confirmed that they will not accept a proposal from German club Hoffenheim.

The Brazil-born striker, who opted to represent Italy at international level, is believed to be a target of the Bundesliga outfit.

It has been widely reported that Hoffenheim have sent emissaries to Italy for in-depth negotiations, however, Amauri’s agent and club have rejected any potential approach.

“Amauri is happy at Parma,” said agent Giampiero Pocetta. “The meeting with the club was to confirm their intention of keeping the player despite the offers, in particular the one from Hoffenheim.”

Parma technical director Antonello Preiti also told Radio Crc that the bid would be rejected.

He said: “We want to keep Amauri, not just because he is a strong striker with great experience, but also as he is a good person.”
