Vasco reject €8 million Corinthians bid for Dedé
Vasco have rejected a bid of around €8 million from Club World Cup champions Corinthians for centre-back Dedé.
The club will now look to purchase some of the 45% of the player's rights owned by the Liga group, in order to secure the player's future.
According to Lancenet, the club are searching for partners in order to acquire Liga's share of the defender's rights, as well as a further 10% owned by the Ability group, in order to secure full ownership of the star.
Corinthians had already made their proposal to the two investment groups, but Vasco are determined to retain the player's services for now.
The Paulista side have already secured the services of centre-back Gil since the World Cup in Japan, but hope to add Dedé to their ranks as they continue the rejuvenation of their backline in coming weeks.
Vasco general director Cristiano Koehler and executive director René Simões have scheduled a press conference on Friday to announce details of the player's future.
