Ronaldinho Gaúcho has vowed to ‘give everything’ he has for Brazil and Luiz Felipe Scolari after the former Barcelona star earned a surprise call up to the Seleção for the friendly clash against England.
The Atlético Mineiro playmaker has been out of the squad for more than a year but will now take his place in the line up for the game at Wembley on February 6.
“What I can say is that I will give everything I have to respond to what Felipao asks of me,” Ronaldinho told reporters at Atlético’s Belo Horizonte training base on Tuesday.
“I’m so happy to be back in the national team especially now when we are so close to the World Cup. I want to thank everybody at Atletico, from the coaching staff to the people who work in the kitchen and especially the fans.
“Everything that happened to me last year was very important, it made me happy and it was reflected in the way I played.”
