
FC Porto left-back Alex Sandro: I feel I have grown since I arrived

FC Porto left-back Alex Sandro feels he has grown and improved as a player since joining the Portuguese giants.
Sandro, 21, moved to FC Porto from Santos in 2011 for €9.6 million and has impressed in the Primeira Liga so far and this weekend he was awarded man of the match for his display, and goal, in the 2-0 victory over Paços de Ferreira.
"I feel I have grown since I arrived,” he told Portuguese newspaper A Bola.
“FC Porto have given full support to my development and this award is a reward not only for my work, and for the whole team.
"I made a goal last season, but the fact that this has been achieved in Estádio do Dragão makes it more special.
“What's more, it was a time when the team needed it. I'm glad I made the goal and helped the team."
FC Porto are joint top of the Primeira Liga with Benfica but sit second in the table on goal difference.
