Paris Saint-Germain winger Jérémy Ménez says he is feeling positive about competition with Lucas Moura’s at the Ligue 1 club.
The Brazilian star joined the French side on a four-and-a-half-year contract in January, after a reported €35 million fee was agreed with São Paulo in August.
The two wingers will be directly competing for a position in Carlo Ancelotti’s starting 11, but Ménez insisted the signing of Lucas will have a positive impact on the squad.
He told Telefoot: “The competition is not something that scares me, I’m afraid of no one,” Menez said.
“Lucas Moura is someone who comes in as an addition to help the team – so much the better.
“Quite simply, the best will play.”
PSG regained the Ligue 1 top spot this evening with a 1-0 win at Bordeaux, in which Lucas set up Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score the only goal of the game.
