Nenê confirms move to Qatari club Al-Gharafa
Nenê confirmed on Sunday that he is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain for Qatari club Al-Gharafa, rather than return to Brazil.
The 31-year-old was said to be looking for a return to his homeland, after taking the decision to leave the Parc des Princes.
The Brazilian finished last season as the capital club's joint top scorer with 21 goals, but has fallen out of favor amid reports of rifts with coach Carlo Ancelotti and sporting director Leonardo.
Nenê told Telefoot: "I've reached an agreement with Al Gharafa.
"It was difficult. I always had this dream of going to Brazil and the team of my family.
"It was almost completed with Santos, but it has not happened."
Al Gharafa are thought to have offered the winger a lucrative deal, and the veteran said he had to think long term.
He added: "[The pay] is wonderful. These are things that can happen only once in life. I don't know if people will understand. I'm going to be 32, and time goes quickly.
"I've thought about my future so that my family is calm."
