Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Lucas Moura will make his debut for the club when they face Ajaccio on Friday.

The 20-year-old moved to the Parc des Princes this month after the club agreed a reported €35 million fee with São Paulo in August.

Lucas arrived at the club shortly after the end of the Brazilian season in December and was subsequently spared PSG’s Coupe de France 4-3 win over Arras on Sunday.

However, the former Chelsea coach has confirmed Lucas is now fully fit and ready for their Ligue 1 clash tomorrow.

Ancelotti said:”Lucas Moura will start against Ajaccio.

“He has no problems fitting physically and technically. Even if he still has progress to make, he has no problem communicating with the other Brazilian players who are here.”

Ancelotti previously stated that he plans to use Lucas out wide, as this will reduce the pressure on the Seleção star.

He said: “He’s fast, intelligent and plays it simple. This experience in Europe will permit him to become a fantastic player.

“He’s used to playing wide but I think he can play in any of the attacking positions. To start with I will play him wide so as not to put him under too much pressure.”
