Brazilian signs professional contract at Manchester United
Manchester United youngster Andreas Pereira has put pen-to-paper on a first professional contract with the Red Devils.
Pereira, who turned 17 on 1 January, has been an important member of the club's Under-18 side this season, forming a strong partnership with fellow prospects Mads Daehli and Adnan Januzaj.
As the club site reports, aside from his fine dribbling skills, Pereira has acquired a reputation for his set-piece abilities. He is normally utilised in an attacking midfield role.
The son of former Brazilian footballer Marcos Pereira, Andreas was born and raised in Belgium, representing the European country at youth level.
However, should he continue to rise through the ranks at Old Trafford, there is little doubt that he will catch the attention of the Brazilian footballing authorities.
The first-year academy scholar joined the club from PSV Eindhoven in January 2012 and has been representing the Red Devils in the Under-18 Premier League this campaign.
