Santos have added another name to their roster for the 2013 season, with the arrival of Al Dhafra (UAE) attacking midfielder Pinga.

Pinga, 31, arrives at the Vila Belmiro after five years away from Brazilian football, having also spent spells in Italy and the Middle-East.

The diminutive creative midfielder came through at Ceará, but has only played for Internacional out of Brazil’s big thirteen sides.

“It’s all agreed, but he still has to pass medical tests yet,” vice-president Odílio Rodrigues told Lancenet!

“He has the backing of the coaching staff and is a player of great quality. He has been outside of Brazil since 2008 and has spent time in Italy and Internacional.”

Pinga will become Santos’ fourth signing of the summer, joining Guarani defender Neto, Figueirense left-back Guilherme Santos and midfielder Renê Júnior from Ponte Preta.
