Criciúma confirm impending Lucca sale
Criciúma director Rodrigo Pastana has spoken publicly for the first time regarding the possible sale of star attacking midfielder to Cruzeiro, confirming that negotiations were well advanced.
Lucca, 22, was one of the stars of the Criciúma side that earned promotion from Série B this campaign and scored 11 goals in the process, attracting interest from a host of side's in the Brasileirão.
It is Cruzeiro, though, who have struck a deal for the player that will see Lucca initially arrive in Belo Horizonte on loan, with a possible six players heading in the opposite direction. Among those rumoured to be heading to Criciúma are young squad players Rafael Donato and Diego Renan.
The Cruzeiro board would like, though, to purchase 70% of the player's economic rights, with negotiations still ongoing into how the deal will eventually be structured.
Lucca joined Criciúma in 2010, having starred for Araguaína-TO at the 2009 edition of the Copa São Paulo youth tournament.
