Grêmio will not increase offer for Napoli forward Eduardo Vargas
Grêmio have announced that they will not increase their offer for Napoli forward Eduardo Vargas and will leave it up to the player to choose between the Porto Alegre club, São Paulo and Flamengo.
Vargas, 23, has endured a terrible year in Italy since moving from Universidad de Chile and has failed to adapt to the demands of European football. Now the forward is looking to get away from Napoli to kick-start his career.
"The player already knows the proposal of Grêmio," advisor to the club, Omar Selaimen told Lancenet!
"He know’s what to think about. Now we have to wait and see what he wants. The proposal was made."
The Chilean forward, who earned a move to Napoli after performing so well in Universidad de Chile successful Copa Sul-Americana campaign in 2011, has been linked with moves to both São Paulo and Flamengo.
Both clubs are said to have offered better deals, but Grêmio are hoping they can convince the player with the project they have under coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo.
