Lucas Moura right to snub Man Utd for PSG says father
New PSG signing Lucas Moura was right to snub Manchester United in favour of a move to the Ligue 1 giants according to his father.
Lucas Moura will be joining Seleção teammate Thiago Silva in Paris after rejecting a move to Sir Alex Ferguson's side in the summer before agreeing a move to PSG to be completed in January.
The player's father believes his son made the right decision: "This is a well considered choice," Jorge Moura told Le Parisien.
"The challenge and the proposal were very interesting. He will discover another lifestyle, another culture, another type of football. It will be very beneficial for his progression and his personal development."
Jorge Moura also anticipated a devastating partnership between Lucas and in form Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic who has already scored 18 goals this season.
"Lucas can play everywhere, even if he prefers to play on the right side. I am sure he will have fun with Zlatan. Zlatan’s power and the speed of Lucas, it will do damage! They will form a superb duo."
