Unhappy striker Alan Kardec wants to leave Benfica
Benfica striker Alan Kardec is unhappy at the Portuguese club and wants to leave, according to his agent.
The 23-year-old Brazilian moved to the Lisbon-based outfit in a €2.5 million deal from Vasco da Gama in 2010.
However, Kardec only managed 20 appearances, in which he scored three goals, and was subsequently loaned to Santos last season before returning to play in the club’s B team this term.
His agent said: "The player is feeling sad currently since he would like to stay but he does not play and he should think about his career.
"He is really professional and is waiting to have a chance with another team. He respects Benfica a lot."
The striker is expected to leave the Estádio da Luz in January and return to Brazil, where recent reports suggest Coritiba are interested in his services, while Benfica offered him to Club World Cup winners Corinthians.
