Botafogo’s young midfielder Jadson is confident that the Rio de Janeiro club can improve on their 2012 campaign and create history next year.

Jadson, 19, broke into the Botafogo first team last season with a sting of impressive performances and believes the club should aim high in 2013.

“Botafogo has very strong fight,” he told Radio Tupi.

“And 2013 will be better than 2012, no doubt. We will get titles to enter the club’s history. We enough to win any championship, whether it’s the Brasileirão, or the Carioca or the Copa do Brasil.”

Jadson, along with fellow Botafogo player’s Dória and Bruno Mendes, has been selected for the Brazilian under 20 side which will compete in the South American under 20 championship in Argentina in January, and Botafogo coach Oswaldo de Oliveira will be hoping to keep the trio at the club next season if they are to have success.

Mendes’s goalscoring form has already alerted scouts in Europe and Dória has been subject to bids from Italian giants Juventus in the past few days.
