Vasco da Gama’s executive director René Simões has revealed that talks are still ongoing with Genoa for striker Zé Eduardo but it’s just the small details that need to be resolved.
Zé Eduardo, 25, is currently on-loan at Siena from Genoa but has struggled to adapt in Europe since moving from Santos in 2011.
“It depends on Genoa. Between Vasco and the player it is all set,” Simões told Rádio Brasil on Wednesday.
“We are missing a few very small details, they say they will not have much problem. Among us is all settled. The player has signed a termination with Genoa. We are trusting in the words of manager and player.”
Simões also disclosed that Vasco are looking to sign Internacional right-back Nei, whose contract in Porto Alegre ran out earlier this month.
“What motivates me is his will to play in Vasco, that has moved me so much. He already said he would love to play here at Vasco and that’s what we want.”
