Brazil legend Ronaldo has sent a message of support to Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova, backing the trainer to make a full recovery.

Vilanova, who led Barcelona to their best-ever start in La Liga, suffered a cancer relapse and had to be rushed for an emergency surgery procedure earlier this week.

It was announced on Friday that the 44-year-old had left the intensive care unit and will be spending a few more days in hospital recuperating.

Ronaldo tweeted: “I am sure that Tito Vilanova will win this game! We are by your side, Tito!”

The former Barcelona striker, who recently organised and won the 10th annual Match Against Poverty, is just one of a number of big names to offer their support for Vilanova.

Guti, Gaizka Mendieta, David Silva and Rafael Nadal amongst others wished the coach well and hoped for his speedy recovery.
