Corinthians president Mário Gobbi Filho has revealed that the Club World Cup winners are in talks with AC Milan star Alexandre Pato over a move to the Timão, joking that ‘It’s like a dating’.

Pato, 23, is believed to want to leave Milan in January and is open to a move back to Brazil with Corinthians.

“The conversation is embryonic. It’s like dating a woman,” Filho told reporters in Asunción, where he attended the draw for the 2013 Copa Libertadores.

“First you give a probe, see where she lives, pick up the phone, chat with friends, and see what she likes, see if she is interested. Then you asks her to dinner.

“If so, you mark other dinners to succeed. Only then, after, dating turns. Then you and bride go home. Everything has its time (laughs).”

Adriano Galliani, Vice-president of AC Milan, is expected to go to Brazil in the near future, he has a home there as he is married to a Brazilian woman, to hold meetings over the future of both Pato and Robinho, who is interesting Santos and Flamengo.

However, Filho, who is keen to add a big name to the Corinthians squad, is taking nothing for granted.

“There was talk, there is interest, but from then on you have to be calm. I cannot speak for what Milan said. Issues like this mess with the feeling of the fans. Lets go slowly. If this happens (negotiation), great.”
