According to reports on Lancenet on Thursday morning, Juventus have once more made enquiries regarding the future of Botafogo centre-back Dória—one of the stars of the 2012 Brasileirão.

Dória, 18, was the focus of a rejected €4.5 million bid from the Série A champions earlier in the year, but with the release of Lúcio to join São Paulo, their interest has reportedly been reignited.

The issue is not simple though as, aside from Botafogo, Banco BMG and a separate group of investors also own a proportion of the player’s economic rights.

Italian website “Lalaziosiamonoi”, though, quote Botafogo executive director Aníbal Rouxinol as saying: “Up to now, we have not received any offer. Dória is young, he’s a great prospect. We believe that he will stay with us and can make a big contribution in the coming years.

Lance! report that Juventus are prepared to offer €6 million for the centre-back, with the club’s record transfer standing at the €6.5 million recently received from Guangzhou Evergrande for forward Elkeson.

It was recently revealed by Brazilian football expert Tim Vickery on Sambafoot’s The Elastico podcast that Premier League side Manchester City had also recently scouted the Brazil Under-20 defender.
