Corinthians’ Paulinho has reiterated his desire to stay at the club in the wake of the club’s Club World Cup victory over Chelsea.
Paulinho played a starring role in their 1-0 win courtesy of a Guerrero winner in the second half and says he is not leaving Brazil just yet.
“I’m staying with Corinthians,” Paulinho told Esporte iG. “There was a lot of speculation that I could be leaving and there were indeed some talks, but I wasn’t aware of anything concrete. Except from Inter.”
Chelsea and Inter have registered their interest in the highly rated 24-year-old but Corinthians will be delighted that the midfielder is set to stay for the forseeable future.
Paulinho has already established himself in the Seleção forming a partnership with Tottenham’s Sandro in the centre of midfield.
