AC Milan rule out return of Clarence Seedorf to San Siro
AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has denied that Clarence Seedorf is poised for a shock return to Italy and has labelled the rumours, which appeared in Italian newspaper Corriere Dello Sport, as “absolutely false”.
Seedorf, 36, who moved to Botafogo earlier this year from Milan and has quickly become an inspirational player for the Rio de Janeiro club, had been linked with a loan move from January to May back at San Siro.
“We have no interest in bringing in Seedorf. I officially deny this information, which is absolutely false. Milan will continue with the policy of renewal and bet on young players,” said Galliani to Lancenet!
The story linking Seedorf back to Milan also mentioned that the reason for this was down to the player not being paid on time, something that Botafogo technical manager, Sidnei Loureiro, denies.
“This story is a little strange. We have never held back any salary of Seedorf in Botafogo. It's all been on time.
“More than that, he chose to play here and is very happy in Botafogo. There's no way anyone can deny that, whatever the time.”
