Chelsea starlet Lucas Piazón believes Corinthians deserve their Club World Cup triumph because the Blues lacked the dedication and character to win.

The 18-year-old forward was an used substitute during his side’s 1-0 defeat to the Brazilian outfit in Japan earlier today.

Piazón has criticised his fellow teammates by stating they didn’t want to win as much as their opponents.

He said: “Corinthians deserved it because they played with love.

“Chelsea lacked the love, dedication and character. Nobody wanted to play, only a few players.

“You cannot come to a final and play that way. The motivation Corinthians had was much bigger.”

Paolo Guerrero scored the only goal of the game on 69 minutes when he reacted quickest to head home past three Blues players.

The Blues ended the game with 10 men after Cahill clashed with Emerson, although the Champions League winners thought they had forced extra time when Fernando Torres headed in but the goal was ruled out for offside.
