Inter Milan defender Juan Jesus is hoping to become a permanent fixture in the Nerazzurri’s side during the coming years.

The Brazilian centre-back made just one Serie A appearance last season following his January arrival from Internacional.

However, the 21-year-old is now a regular fixture in Andrea Stramaccioni’s side, having started 13 times this term, which he hopes will continue for years to come.

Juan said: “I’m happy because nobody knew me in Italy, but now something has changed.

“I hope to have five or six good years to show my worth. I want to be a part of Inter for a long time.

“I never thought I’d become a starter. I wanted to do my job and I thank boss Andrea Stramaccioni for the trust he placed in me.”

The Seleção defender, who represented Brazil during the London Olympics, also spoke of the Nerazzurri’s chances of winning the Serie A title this season.

He continued: “We always believe in the Scudetto and I want to do everything to get it.

“Inter are a great team and should do everything possible to win it.”
