Midfiedler Ramires believes Chelsea are re-discovering their form just at the right time after defeating Sunderland 3-1 on Saturday.

Ramires, 25, who won the penalty, converted by Fernando Torres, to put Liverpool 2-0 up at the Stadium of Light, told Lancenet! that he was delighted with Chelsea’s two victories this week.

He said: “It was time to react for our season. We had been looking for it, but it failed to materialise.

“But we played as Chelsea against Nordsjælland, in the Champions League, and now against Sunderland in the Premier League.

“This reaction came at the right time. The debut of the Club World Cup is nearby and do not want to lose that title at all. The trip will be tiring, but we have to get over all the difficulties if we want to win in Japan and seek the dream. I hope what we want becomes a reality.”

Chelsea will face CF Monterrey on Thursday, after the Mexican side beat Ulsan Hyundai 3-1 on Sunday.
