PSV defender Marcelo has admitted he would jump at the chance to play for Juventus, when questioned over the possibililty of replacing countryman Lúcio.

Marcelo, 25, joined PSV from Polish side Wisla Krakow in 2010 and has forged himself a fine reputation in Holland, signing a new long-term contract earlier this season.

Marcelo told Sportal.it: “They are a big club and to play for Juventus would be a dream. But, for the moment, I am thinking of PSV.

“It [Italy] is a great country with a top-class league. If a player were to have the chance to play there, it"s difficult to turn down."

The Brazil Under-20 international also spoke of his excitement ahead of this weekend"s fixture with Ajax, a game he expects to be hard-fought:

"The game Ajax-PSV is a classic of Dutch football. So, we go to this game with one goal: to win," he told a separate interview.

“The rivalry between the two teams is very large and I expect a hard-fought and fierce game as both teams will want to leave the field with a victory."
