Italian sports newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport are reporting that AC Milan will consider selling Brazilians Alexandre Pato and Robinho in order to fund a bid for Manchester City star Mario Balotelli.

Balotelli, a well-known AC Milan supporter, has been tentatively linked with the Rossoneri for some time, and it is reported that the club are now willing to act to make that interest concrete.

Both Robinho and Pato have failed to live up to expectations over the past couple of seasons at the San Siro, with injuries and poor form meaning neither has helped the club to replace the departed Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Pato, who has been linked to PSG, Chelsea and Corinthians in the past 12-months, has also made headlines recently after declaring his discontent at not seeing enough first-team action with Stephan El-Shaarawy now Milan’s shining light in attack.

Robinho, for his part, has been tipped to make a return to Santos should AC Milan look to sell the forward in January.
