Zenit St Petersburg’s Bruno Alves believes that star signings Hulk and Axel Witsel will only get better.

Hulk netted his second league goal of the season whilst Witsel scored a superb brace in Zenit’s 4-2 win over Spartak Moscow.
“I think we played well. We scored four times and I think deserved victory. Our team belongs to the top-spot after recording displaying fantastic football from the last two matches. But we need to continue to work with the same thoughts and intentions.
The defender also wished him teammates luck in adapting to the Russian league: “Well, they are my friends. Of course, I am very pleased that Hulk and Witsel both scored.
“I’m happy for them and I can only wish them good luck, success and hope that they will score many more. I think they will only get better with the time.”
Hulk is one of our 30 nominees for the 2012 Samba Gold Trophy, which is award to the best performing Brazilian playing in Europe. Voting is now open until 31 December for the award.
