Barca's Adriano: I'm in the form of my life
Barcelona's Adriano believes he is in the form of his life after scorinh his fifth goal of the season in Barcelona's 5-1 demolition of Athletic Bilbao.
The Brazilian defender netted Barcelona's third goal deep into injury-time before the break after Gerard Pique and Lionel Messi had already put the Catalans two goals up.
Adriano told the club website: "I'm very happy to be able to score goals for the team. I have never scored so many goals at this point of the season."
"We were very serious from the start, the first half was fantastic. We prefer to play against teams that want to play their football (like Athletic), it makes you more focused and it forces to play at your best."
"I had to work hard in order to recover in time for this game [against Athletic]. I managed to do it and the manager thought it was a good idea for me to play. Matches against Athletic Club are always physical and demanding.
"This is probably my best season, and the team is playing very well, but there's a lot left to do."
Adriano is one of our 30 nominees for the 2012 Samba Gold Trophy, which is awarded to the best performing Brazilian playing in Europe.
