Sandro was stretchered off in Spurs’ 3-1 win over West Ham on Sunday after taking a blow to the stomach.

The Brazilian tweeted: “Hey guys, thanks for all the messages! I’m so pleased with our win today. I had a hard hit, but I’m feeling good! #sandroBeast #superSandro.”

Tottenham face Liverpool on Wednesday at White Hart Lane and it looks likely that Sandro will shake off the blow to start against the Reds.

Sandro is also one of the 30 nominees for Sambafoot’s Samba Gold Trophy 2012, and the public can vote for the midfielder from Saturday, 1 December.

Voting will continue throughout December for the trophy, which is awarded to the best performing Brazilian based in Europe.
